Acquisitions and Finishing Assistant

Manhattan Public Library is looking for a dedicated team member to help with acquisitions and finishing materials. The person in this position will support the library’s mission of serving a diverse community by keeping the periodical collection up-to-date, assisting the catalogers with brief entries on Polaris, deleting items from the MPL collection, finishing and processing items, verifying shipments received from delivery services, and other duties as assigned. This is a 40-hour-per-week position with excellent benefits. The regular schedule is M-F, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and the salary is $15.79/hour; $32,842.67/year. If you are interested, please submit the online application by 8 a.m. Tuesday, May 27th.

Training Specialist

Manhattan Public Library is accepting applications for a Training Specialist who will be responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating Information Technology (IT) training programs for new hires, employees transitioning into new roles or assignments, and organization-wide initiatives involving new software, systems, or technology. The Training Specialist will provide support for IT-related projects, ensuring alignment with training objectives and departmental needs.

Desired qualifications include an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in information technology, education technology, or related field, two years experience in information technology support or a related field, experience training adults, and library experience. The job is on-site, and the schedule will be 24 hours a week; primarily M-F between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. The schedule will vary depending on department needs and will include occasional evening and weekend hours. The wage is $20.22 per hour. Benefits include annual leave, medical leave, personal leave, paid holidays, and KPERS retirement. The position will be open until filled.
