The following information includes the 4 steps to use the Library Carryout Service.

Step 1: Search the Catalog
Search the catalog for thousands of books, movies, and more. Patrons will be able to have up to 5 items on hold and 5 items checked out during this time.

If you don’t have a library card and you’re a Manhattan, KS resident, click here to apply.

Step 2: Place Items on Hold
Find the item(s) you want and then click the “Place on Hold” button. Be sure the items you request are “Available” to ensure the fastest service.

It takes time for our staff to gather and prepare requests for pickup. Allow 24 hours before pickup.

Step 3: Schedule a Time
When you receive a holds confirmation email, follow the website included to schedule your time for pickup. Have your library card and/or photo identification to verify your account.

If you are picking up holds for others, your account must be linked within the catalog. On the pickup form, indicate other patrons you’re picking up for.

You will receive an email when your items are available for you to pick up.

Step 4: Pick Up Items
An approved pick up time will be emailed to let you know your items are available. Come in at your scheduled time. When you arrive, go to the children’s garden gate and present your library card or photo ID to receive your items.

Please exercise social distancing while using this service.
